DAVID M. CHIAMPA
Funeral Director
David M. Chiampa, a Newton, MA native, has been a licensed funeral director and embalmer since 1978. His career began in 1973 with positions at area funeral homes in the metro-Boston area, including the Harold L. O'Neill Funeral Home, Dorchester, Gerald W. Lehman Funeral Home, Brighton, Walsh-Fennelly Funeral Home, Waltham, Joseph G. Valente Funeral Home and Thomas J.Lyons Funeral Home in Newton, MA.
Dave's expertise is the result of a 40-year career in funeral service. Having worked for many funeral directors he brings a varied compilation of skills that enhance the operation of the Chiampa Funeral Home.
Dave earned his degree in Applied Arts and Sciences from the New England Institute of Applied Arts and Sciences in Boston, MA. He owned and operated Garden City Livery, West Newton for many years. He also served as a Executive board member of the Funeral Institute of New England for several years. Dave is a longtime member and past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus, Council #12701, Boylston, 4th. Degree Assembly No. 399, Worcester. He is also an active member of St. Mary of the Hills Catholic Church in Boylston, MA. Dave is also an active member and past president of the Italian American Victory Club.
David lives in Shrewsbury with his wife, Mary Ann, and their son Michael.
Michael Fitzgerald Chiampa
Apprentice Funeral Director
Michael Fitzgerald Chiampa is David's son and has worked at the Chiampa Funeral Home since 2017. Michael attended St. Mary's Grammer School and is a graduate of Venerini Academy in Worcester and St. John's High School in Shrewsbury.
He is currently attending FINE Mortuary College in Norwood. Michael is a member of the St. Johns's Alumni Association, the Knights of Columbus, the Men's First Friday Club of Worcester, and St. Mary of the Hills Church in Boylston, MA.
His hobbies include boating and fishing on Cape Cod, golfing, and cheering on the Red Sox and WooSox. He lives in Shrewsbury with his parents David and Mary Ann as well as his beloved German Shepherd Titus.
